Shorts made like swim trunks but with pockets.

5thD-X made X-shorts, which were neoprene shorts with 2 hip cargo pockets, like dry suit pockets. They were wonderful, and they sold reasonably well, but there were quality control problems with the fabric/stitching that apparently couldn't be solved in a financially reasonable way, so they no longer make them.

Before I bought mine, I jury-rigged using boy's swim shorts with cargo pockets. They looked funky, but worked okay.
