On the tripadvisor web site forum someone mentioned that Amex had a truck rider that could be added for $25! Has anyone used this or has anyone hears of this? I plan to call and ask but thought I would ask here 1st, I trust yall.....everyone else not so much :) tanks.....1 week and we be swimming with the fishes

The problem is often getting someone who will accept AMEX.

It's American Express premium car rental protection:
https://www295.americanexpress.com/premium/termsandconditions.do
I've used it for years both in the US and overseas, including Bonaire.
Once enrolled, reserve and pay for the vehicle with the enrolled Amex and Amex will charge you $24.95 separately.
It's a great value for week long rentals. It does not include liability, but in many countries, that is included in the base rental by law.
I know Poppy at Telerin accepts Amex. not aware of anyone else that does.
Hope that helps.

Another thing you should know about the AMEX protection is that, to be valid for coverage of a truck break-in, the doors and windows must be closed and locked. Quite contrary to the local Bonaire recommendations. But, check this out for yourself.
