Aggressor Fleet, Dancer Fleet and Gates Underwater Products announce the Capture the World Underwater Video Challenge.

A premiere contest for the underwater videographer, Capture the World features more than $21,000 in prizes and a marquis venue for the winning entry.

Augusta GA – March 22, 2010 – Key sponsors Aggressor Fleet, Dancer Fleet and Gates Underwater Products are pleased to herald the first annual Capture the World Underwater Video Challenge.

Open to all skill levels in the single category – a five minute edited piece – Capture the World has more than $21,000 in prizes including free Dive Vacations aboard any Aggressor/Dancer Fleet Yacht and Gates HF-S21 housings. Further, if the 1st place entry was acquired aboard an Aggressor/Dancer charter, the prize increases from one to two free Dive Vacations. Supplementary equipment from Gates (Ports, Lights and accessories) are added to the winning prize if was acquired with a Gates housing. Industry leaders Backscatter and H2O Photo Pros are also generously supporting Capture the World with gift certificates for the best new video-first time submission.

UnderwaterVideography.com – the premiere website for underwater video sharing and networking – will host Capture the World entries for viewing. The winning entry will also be showcased at the 2011 San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition. Held each year Qualcomm Hall – a new state-of-the-art venue – SDUFEX celebrates 10 years as a prestigious international event for underwater videographers and a high profile setting for Capture the World winner.

The first annual Capture the World judges are accomplished and experienced: Wayne Brown, CEO Aggressor Fleet/Dancer Fleet; Shawn Heinrichs, consummate underwater cameraman, Blue Sphere Media; and David Ulloa, tech diver, producer and underwater cameraman for Valeo Films.
