I have a Canon (WP-DC60) housing for my A510. But this last weekend I flooded my housing. After getting back on the boat I figured out the problem. The string that holds the flash defuser was in the housing that allowed water into the housing.

Well now that my camera needs to be replaced I was wondering if I should get another A510 or A520.

I know that these two cameras are suppose to fit the housing. But I was wondering if the A530 would also fit in the housing and does it have an underwater mode.

Bummer on the flood! But now you know to add "check seal" to your predive list!

www.digideep.com says no to the 530 fitting the same housing.

Forget the UW mode and shoot manual. For relatively clear blue waters start with f4.0 or f4.5 and shutter 1/100 or 1/125. If you water is too light increase your shutter speed. If you want to do closeups of great detail, move your aperture to f8 (flash only).

learn to set your manual white balance - it will do great things for you when you turn your flash off for those things that are beyond flash range.

Have fun!

I have done some research since posting this a few minutes ago. digideep.com says that the WP-DC60 is only for the A510 & A520. So now I need see if I can find a camera localing over the next week. If not I guess I will get one online.
