Urgent.
I have Canon EOS 40D. I am advanced OW, and I want to take up UW photography. What UW housing do you recommend? I am going to NYC for a week. Any recommended shop in NYC?
Thanks!

you should also try jr.com...see if they have what you're looking for...they are based in NYC...huge store

I doubt there are any housings for the 40D readily available as the camera has just come out.

SeaTool expects their new housing for it to be out in the new year and we all expect it to be SWEET!

Contact Ryan and Richard at Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros for the best scoop on upcoming housings for this camera plus everything else you'll need for underwater photography gear.

Hi all.
Yeah, I went to B&H and other shops in NYC but none carried it for 40D as it's still new. Guess I will have to wait for it.
Thanks.

I whole heartedly endorse Ikelite. On September 8th while diving in Lake Lanier I lost my Canon 20D in an Ikelite housing with dual strobes in 50 feet of water. Today, 8 weeks later, I found the camera, housing and strobes and all are in tip top shape. The camera booted up while still underwater, the housing hadn't leaked a drop, the strobes, since they had been in the on position for 8 weeks were of course battery dead but the compartments on the strobes hadn't leaked any either so I have no doubt they will work just fine with a battery replacement. Thanks to God and thanks to everyone who helped search. The reward ($300.00) will be given to the Smile train charity to help underprivileged kids with cleft palets.
