When I purchase a new product, a camera in this context, I generally read the quick start guide and then start pushing buttons Eventually though, I’ll sit down a read the full user’s manual.

In Canon’s case this manual is about 4x5 inches. This is great for a quick view, but this size is a little uncomfortable for a long read. My solution has been to download the PDF for the manual and print it on letter paper, allowing Adobe to fit to the paper size. I punch the pages and put them in a 3-ring.

The problem is that Canon has now puts a big “COPY” watermark into their PDFs. It displays on each page when you print. It makes a page very difficult to read in some cases.

Anyone know of a solution to this?????

After my post I decided to do a web search for PDF password removers. I found the enclosed link. The demo works great, but only would do ½ the document. Why I didn’t do this in the first place I don’t know.

PDF Password Remover - pdf password recovery software (decrypt pdf, remove pdf password)

It only removes the security. You still need full Acrobat to disable watermarks.

Pete found a similar program called APDFPR (Advanced PDF Password Recovery) to remove the password on the PDF files. Thanks again SP
