hello! does anyone know the lens thread size of a canon wp-dc30 housing? can't find any info on the net. im planning to buy step up rings used for slr lenses to avoid buying expensive lens adapters for attaching ikelite wide angle conversion lens.

I am not positive but I doubt your DC-30 is threaded. I do not believe Inon supports that housing at this time either, I did not find it in their site. N

I have several Canon housings though not that one. None is threaded.

Yeah, get a ruler and measure it. My Canon housing appears to have threads but upon close inspection they are just tiny concentric beauty grooves--they are not threads--on mine and the few other Canon housing I have seen--but yours??

You sure it's threadded? I haven't found anything specifying threads and according to this pic from a cannon germany website, it doesn't look threadded (warning the pic is 2835 x 2127):

If it is threadded, get a pair of calipers and measure the ID of the opening or find a local machine shop and see if one of the machinists can help you figure it out (it should only take them a few seconds so it probably wouldn't cost more than a 6-pack)

If it's really not threadded, you could look for the inon adapter (I've seen stuff re a AD mount base adapter, but I don't know ifthere was a M67 or not), or you could do something like what THIS GUY did.

double post

I am afraid the picture from Randini confirms the DC-30, like most Canon housings, is not threaded. My Canon DC-12 will accept Inon AD lenses because they provide a slip-on adapter for that housing, don't see one for the DC-30.

You can use gelatin and Magic filters on the inner side of the port or over the lens barrel.
