Hey

I just bought a canon t2i, i want to get into underwater photography, i was looking at the ikelite underwater housings. not to sure how or what i should purchase, i just want to get a basic set up going now, if somone could help me pick out a good lens and port and strobe and what ever else i would need, also any other tip and tricks would be great thanks

Send all your questions to Backscatter or Reef Photo and Video. They will help in all areas of concern. I have a T2i and they were very helpful. With Ikelite you can go Standard Ports or Modular ports so talking to an expert is helpful As far as lens go Canon 60 or 100 mm for Macro and Tokina 10-17 for wide angle.

The Sea & Sea housing is also a great housing, and costs just a little more than the Ike housing. The Ike housing will give you TTL which is nice though.

I'd start off with a 60mm lens and a Tokina 10-17mm fisheye lens. Feel free to call with any questions you may have. The Underwater Photography Guide is a great resource for people getting their 1st dSLR.
