Hey All,

I went diving in Canada and decided to try out the video mode. I just turned it on and went with it. When playing it back on the camera, and on my laptop, it would play and then pause every few seconds.

Would you guys know what are the best settings to avoid that? I didn't change any of the video settings (don't know how) so assume the default are appropriate for video.

Regards

You might have a card that is to slow for video. That would be my first guess. If it lags on the camera that would really be the only thing I could think of.

Hmm. I have the Kingston 32gb, ultimate 133x. I thought that would be fast enough

Try droping the quality to a lower setting and see if it still does it. I shoot with a 7D just about every day and I have never had it hang with a card that was to spec. Just to be clear here, It plays back choppy in the camera and not only on your computer right?

Correct. Every couple of seconds it pauses. It did it on the camera and on my laptop.

I will drop the settings and play around with the camera at home. Thank you!

I use a Fujifilm 16 GB High Performance 6 Speed. Check on your card, there should be a small number under the GB. It needs to be between 6 and 10 to get clean video. A 4 speed would be halting.

Pretty sure I bought a six, and on the card it says 6 in the middle of a C
