I have been diving with a Canon S80 with the WP-DC1 housing. I was thinking about adding a strobe. Has anyone with a similar Canon set up used it with SeaLife SL961 Strobe?

Does it work well? Easy to set up? Does it really improve the pictures?

Thanks,

Ken

Yes, I've used my S80 with the Sealife strobe and yes, it did improve the quality of the pictures. More light is GOOD. I quickly decided the strobe wasn't good enough and bought the Inon d2000.

BTW, my OW/AOW instructor (who is also a photog) told me NOT to buy the Sealife strobe because I just wouldn't like it AND that I'd just end up buying a "real strobe" -- which of course, I did.

Honestly? I'd give you the same advice he gave me -- save your money and get a "real" strobe.
