You can't.

Well, I can't work out how to do it. It's the only thing I don't like about the S50 + canon housing.

Just make sure you have set everything you think you will need before you lock it up..

You can't...

I agree you can't, and the housing book says you can't "the multicontrollers up and down cannot be used with the waterproof case" (p12) . For key things I think you can get around it - if you want to shoot manual you can't set the aperture - but if you go to Av you can set aperture and then to M to change the shutter speed using left and right.

I was able to find it already :10:

up/down can be accessed by holding down MF.

- the left arrow becomes up
- the right arrow becomes down

(both while MF is being depressed)

for your info guys :10:

really? I'll have to try that tonight. If so, I'm very happy!

I am going to have to try that out. Many thanks if it works :D

If you hold down WB Func button for about 10 secs, the camera will power down. Press the shutter button to bring it back up. This is to save power while in housing. It takes a long time for S50 to go in a power-safe mode.

Did anyone get this to work? when I press down MF it (not surprisingly) goes to manual focus. The left and right button relate to metres for focus - what am I missing?

Try going to the menus first then hold down MF before pressing the left right functions. This works big time.
