Hi,

I'm currently looking to upgrade my Ikelite housing for the S100 to either a Recsea or Fix housing. Switching between setting either shutter speed or aperture is slow and the UWL-04 wide angle lens has a log of vignetting on the wide end.

Have people here used the S100 + UWL-04 with either the Fix or Recsea housing?

I'd love to get confirmation on the vignetting situation at the wide end on both before deciding which housing....

Thanks,
Joe

How bad is the vignetting at 24mm? I'll be using at that end them cropping... need the full f/2 aperture for darker wrecks.

I've found images with the Fix S100 housing + UWL-04 anyway;

Strong vignetting but much less than with Ikelite housing anyway.

Yep....that's about it. You'll find 24 without lens gives you pretty good WA by default. Use the ring for zoom and you can set 28mm very easy

Dark is dark, regardless. F2. At what ISO...with flash...at what distance

Well there's a big difference between shooting at f/2 and f/2.8 (twice as much light) so I can achieve well exposed images at much lower ISO, controlling noise, when shooting at 24mm and cropping that bit of vignetting.
