There's a good few people with this setup and likely to be a popular setup as the Ikelite is a nice compromise between Canon and significantly more expensive Recsea/Patima/Fix housings.

I've been looking at wet lens options and haven't found any tried and tested with this setup, and several concerns that having to zoom further from the 24mm wide end it could give a lot softer results than with the 28mm S90/95.

So - has anyone tried any wet lenses with the S100 + Ikelite housing?

Thanks! ;)

Joe

I have a local customer who just got his Ikelite Canon S100 housing from me and has the Ikelite W20 used on his previous housing.

Will be getting in the pool soon and try and shoot some images with it at full wide and zoomed in.......

Great - look forward to seeing some photos! ;)

Is the Ikelite W20 the same lens as the Epoque DCL-20 just with different branding?

bluewater sells the WA110 which they have tested with good results. got mine in but heven't gotten in the water with it yet.

My lens of choice for this set up would be the Inon UWL-H100 28M67, future proof as you can add a dome and have semi fisheye.

All the other lenses don't have this option. However the lens chile7236 mentions (which looks exactly the same as the Epoque DCL30) will work with one step zoom to 28mm.
Without a dome you are looking at around 104 (inon) -112 (epoque) degrees diagonal field of view depending on magnification.

Lenses designed for 35mm such as INON UWL100, Epoque DCL-20 (and Ikelite WA20) need real life testing as there are two steps of zoom from 24mm to 35 and in addition to extensive vignette there is risk of softness on the edges

the WA110 is the Epoque...says so on the lens

As I suspected. Ikelite has decided not to brand that one (epoque makes their lenses ) so bluewater photo have their own issue in the US I guess
In the old days there was no real difference between the Epoque and the Inon UWL100 only difference is the optional dome port

Epoque is good in terms of budget and good quality too
