hi everyone
i have a canon ixus sd 790 which takes great macro shots and does decent videos.
when i take reef shots or fish shots however i get a lot of backscatter mainly because the shutter speed defaults to 1/60.
this was never an issue inmy former p&s'es because i just set them to sports mode and they remain in the 1/125 shutter speed range. the ixus however does not come with a sports mode, and the closest i can get to this mode is the kids and pets mode which still defaults to 1/60 with a higher ISO.
i have tried using a diffuser for my strobe and have had limited success. i have also tried different strobe placements again with limited success. i also searched chdk forums, but unfortunately this canon doesnt have a properly working chdk firmware yet.
any ideas from you guys what else i could do to minimize backscatter. i really dont wanna buy another camera but do wanna make use of my strobe.
thanks in advance
