I'm looking for recommendations for a Canon G11 package (camera, housing, and strobe).

I just sold my other camera, and after reading reviews I've decided to make the move. I have a budget ($700-$1000).

Is it possible to get a decent setup for that amount? I'm leaving for Bonaire in 2 weeks, so I need to act quick.

Thank you.

Reef,
your 1000$ budget is VERY tight for a decent G11 setup as the camer already will cost the half of it.
The most low-budget will be the G11, Canon housing, Intova strobe, flexarm but i i have to say
that i don't consider that as a "decent" setup, more a functional set-up.
You may blow-up your budget and get at least 1 Inon S-2000 strobes to have a more than "decent" strobe and when later you may change the housing to a sturdier and more professional one.
Another solution would be to go with a Canon S90, she is technical identical to the G11 but due the smaller size the layout is somehow different, no hotshoe, etc. and she is a bit less expensive or shop around to get a used system.

Ask for quotations at the specialiezd uw-imaging shops and the big photo warehouses.

Chris
