Hi
Does anyone know if Inon makes a lens adapter for the WP-DC50 underwater case?
Thanks

Since that A95 and A80 are basically identical as photoTJ has tested a A95 in a A80 housing - I would guess that the lens mount for both housings will be the same. Like for the A75 and A70.

Get the lens mount to fit the WP-DC900 (A80 housing) it will fit.

More addressed to Mark Rupert, but posted in general--any plans for Inon to make an adapter for the WP-DC40 housing (S60 & S70 cameras)?

Also, from reading the S60/S70 manuals, I can't figure out whether they pre-flash or not. Is it a safe assumption to say that all cameras nowadays pre-flash?

I'm sure Inon will be releasing a mount for the DC40 just have to wait a few months because the housing is new, looks like a different diameter port than any of the other housings.

I'm also waiting for this.

Like most canon cameras the S60/S70 will pre-flash in all modes except for manual. The pre-flash is used to calculate exposure - in manual this is left up to you and the flash is set manually. No pre-flash in manual - pre-flash in all other modes.

Hi,
At this time there is no plan to support DC40 housing.
Sorry for inconvenience.

Is there a reason for this?
Will the current line of lenses not work?
I was wanting to upgrade to this package but not worth it if there is not going to be the ability to use my inon accessories.

Cheers

Yes, the current lens line-up is designed camera's having a master lens of 35mm (35mm film camera equivalent). But the S60/S70 have 28mm equivalent lens which means the current lenses would vignette the corners. We do not want to produce any products that would compromise optical quality this much.

Thanks Mark, I assumed this might be the case.
However would it not be possibly to just zoom to 35mm, achieving not vignetting with 105AD WA but still maintaining 105 degrees of coverage underwater?
I guess I'll have to check what position the lens finishes at when in 35mm to determine if this will still vignette.

Thanks for your help.

Hi I am new to diving in the last 4 years. I just bought my s70 still learning how to use it still and have just received my WP-DC40 case. I am pretty excited to try it out. My question is with the underwater mode in the camera should I still be using the raw data?

Cheers
