Anybody else out there have this or similar combo?

I purchased the D2000 as a Xmas pressie for myself, but have been only able to use it once, and that was in manual mode (and that was total gueswork as I brought the wrong user manual). Been through the user manuals several times trying to figure out how to use it properly. Still not clear on S-TTL mode or Auto/TTL for my particular camera. How does it compensate for the pre-flash? What exactly are the settings I need to use?

Would welcome a dialog with other users.

Cheers!!

Hi may I know what cable are you using to trigger your D2000 strobe ? I'm a A95 user too with a D-180s ( non TTL strobe ) instead. As far as I know, A95 does not have the TTL function. Hence a fiber optical cable like the 10 bar one that i'm using , suffice. As for the pre-flash function, I just turn off the pre flash in my A95. Hopes this helps

I too use a canon A95 and I'm using the prescribed inon Optical D cable w3 kit (clear photo system and fiber optic cable) to trigger my inon 2000w strobe. Underwater, I always have the camera flash setting to force flash.
