I just went out last weekend and took my first underwater shots with the A70 and canon housing. You can see a couple images here http://www.scubaboard.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/15360
I set the camera on P with the ISO at 50 and used the flash on closeups (like the eel) I was very impressed at how well the stock flasch worked. Vis was just ok at about 30 feet or so. As long as I only used the flash on closer shots, it turned out well.
