I have a Canon A620 and have just purchased an ikelite housing and sunpak g-flash. My first problem is the thumbscrew to connect the housing to the arm does not fit. Hopefully I can order a thumbscrew from Ikelite.

My question is will this strobe work with this setup and do I need to purchase anything else to make it work. I am new to underwater photography. I have had my camera for several months and very pleased with the quality of pictures. I would appreciate any help you can give me and thanks.

I had a similar problem. The screw size on the Ikelite housing is a #12-24. They are very hard to find, but I did manage to find some at Ace hardware. I believe the sunpak has a slave sensor so you should be good to go. You will notice that Ikelite provide you with two flash defusers, however one is transparent and the other is opaque. You should use the opaque one. This will reflect the flash to the sensor without causing backscatter.

Thanks for your help. Will check out Ace. Heading south today, hopefully will get to use it.

Thanks again,

Nancy
