Howdy everyone,

I am thinking of purchasing a Canon A 650 is and would like to know if anyone has used one for underwater photos yet ? I was really thinking about getting a Olympus E410 but when I saw the price of the housings plus you really need an external strobe, that was just a little too much moola.
Right now we are using the Canon A 95 and I take mostly macro shots so I hardly ever use the strobe. I know the G9 has a raw format, does a person really need that?

Thanks for your time and input.

Give me a week and I'll post some pictures using this camera. :) My uncle just gave me his and now I'm ordering that waterproof case for it. All I need now is to save money for the strobe since my college fund has been taken care of.

Having used the A640 for alittle while, I'm sure the A650 will be very capable, and I also suspect that it wont be too long before a CHKD "update" is released that allows it to shoot RAW - which will totally defeat the purpose of buying a G9 as the A650 will do everything the G9 does :)
