I am new to underwater photography i am planning to purchase canon 500D. I had a Compact Olympus with Olympus housing. So technically this is my second cam but first DSLR.

Thank you for your patience and your help in advance

My options are Ikelite and Sea&Sea housing

I tried to read but i dont understand the following.

1- I dont understand do i have to buy housing and a port [ both housing comes with no ports ]
2- Are ports sold with the lens or i have to buy lens and then ports
3- the internal flash will not work with both housing?

And any experience with housing? and an recommendation?

You will need the basic housing. Handles for the housing. You will need different ports for different lenses. In neither case (AFAIK) will the internal strobe be of any use EXCEPT to trigger an external strobe on the S&S, so you will need an external strobe. A lot depends on what you want to shoot. If it is macro then you will need a macro port and maybe one strobe. If you are interested in wide angle then you will need a dome port and 2 strobes with higher power than for just macro.
