I would like to edit and/or splice the MVI video files I have taken with my A 610. Is this possible? What software do I need? I would also like to upload them to Scubaboard but MVI isn't a listed file format. Can they be changed?

thanks for any help.

Hi TheDivingpreacher,

The A610 actually records in WMV or AVI format I think, anyway don't worry about the file format....
I think it only lists the video as MVI before it is transferred to your pc, not 100% sure of that, i'll have to take a look on my A610 to be certain.

You can edit these movies with Windows Movie maker for example, comes free with every copy of Windows.

Editing and compressing your video before uploading it is highly recommended, since the files that come from the camera are huge!

Hope this helps.
