Went to Cancun to swim with the Whale Sharks and decided to do a day of cenotes why we were there. Booked with Alvaro w/ Always Diving. First off he communicated great answered every question asap. We had originally wanted to do the Whale sharks, a day of cenotes and the C-58 wreck. Due to weather the wreck got called off. We had a rough ride out to the Sharks but it was worth all the chum my wife gave them. We arrived early to the scene and saw maybe 15 boats at the area where they were that day (about 17 miles off Isla Mujeres). I was the first off the boat of 8 too jump in with the guide and my self. It was Amazing!!! At one time I had to dive out of the way from 5 30' Sharks. Every time I turned another mouth was in my direction. I cannot recommend this enough an absolute great experience. The next day we went too Chac Mool cenote. It started early in Cancun but glad we did. Alvaro picked us up at 6:30 and we went to the cenote with Alvaro telling stories the whole way made the 1hr ride from Cancun worth it. We arrive first at the site and surveyed the area. Did a dive briefing and jumped in. Water seemed cold from my computer which read 79. Alvaro assured us it was 75 and it felt more like that after an hr dive. Max depth we reached was 40'. During the surface interval we came across another group and the started to get in the water. We did our second dive in a different area of cenote and never ran into another group underwater. As we surfaced the second dive we were all starting to get cold. Get up on the surface and the cenote was filled with cars and people. IT was about to be a mad dash in the cenote. Glad Alvaro was our guide and loved it. Thanks again Alvaro!
