Hi,

I am buying my first reg/octo/gauge system. I have been renting to date.

I am considering an Apeks reg. My dad just bought some used equipment and has an extra reg which is a Dacor ... I think.

QUESTION: Can I use an Apeks primary reg and a Dacor reg for an octo (or for that matter any other brand name for an octo)? Does the Octo have to be the same brand as the primary reg?

Also, can I use any name brand SPG with my system?

I'd appreciate any help on this matter.

Thanks,
Joe

As long as you get it done at a shop that knows what your doing, you should be fine. If the intermediate pressure that the first stages gives out is different, the octo is going to need to be adjusted accordingly.

When I got my Apeks reg, I moved my Mares Axis primary and first stage over to my pony bottle, and put my old console and my Mares Axis Octo on the Apeks 1st stage. No problems, but the tech had to fiddle with the Octo a bit to get it right...
