After looking at the design of most canister lights available, I think I could make my own canister light. Has anyone ever tried this, and if so, do you have any plans. I estimate around 140 dollars to make a HID canister light, but I could be wrong. Please let me know before I get in to deep.

Unless you've found some incredible incredible suppliers, something's missing.
Got a parts list?

I was going to use the high pressure PVC pipe. I can get a gel cell battery for $35. The only money product will be the light for aroun $105. I did not account for the fittings and gaskets, but i figured they could not be that bad.

I'm in the process of doing just that right now. Don't underestimate the difficulty of cutting the top and bottom perfectly round with an inset. It's not that easy.

HID for $105.00? Who's? That incredibly cheap.

Good suggestion. I forgot about that one.

This is an excellent resource.
