Can I use a single tank adapter on my single wing?

This gear is new to me. I have a 32lb single wing and a 60lb double wing for my OMS IQ Pack. I don't have tank straps on my IQ Pack but I do have a single tank adapter for my double wing. Can I (Should I) use my single tank adapter on my 32lb single wing for a single tank, or should I get tank straps to thread through the back of the pack? Any suggestions on what I need to buy, as far as tank straps for a single tank?
