Can anyone give me the common name as well as the scientific name for this specimen? I believe it's a Slipper Lobster. I took the pic on a wreck in St. Thomas. Thanks for your help.

What's the difference between a slipper and shovelnose?
 
They are also called Spanish Lobster.
 
Yeah I know, thanks for the post. I just didnt think it was that one because of that being the one in the Pacific.
 
From Paul Humann Reef Creature ID book, Spanish (not Slipper) Lobster. Also known as Shovel-nosed Lobster. Scientific Name: Scyllarides aequinoctialis. Got a good picture of one in March in Roatan (see attached).
