New to this forum - pic taken in Makadi Bay but struggling to ID this fish - Any ideas please ?

I believe that's a juvenile Macolor niger or black and white snapper.

Found a handpainted picture in the Red Sea Partner / James & Mac Diving Center handbook, page number 250 -Schwarzer Schnapper, Juvenilstadium- then I entered it into google .
