I was looking at getting a scubapro hydros pro bcd and I was wondering if anyone runs a long hose setup with it? From what I can see with the integrated weight pockets there’s a few inches of webbing where I’d assume you can attach a long hose retainer that I have to tame it. Does anyone do this? I just ordered my first deep 6 signature regs in Din. Thank you!

Yes
I dove in that config (longhose on Hyrdros Pro) before, I tried to thread a longhose “stick” to the waist belt section but failed tho, there’s stitches on the webbing (which you can just cut and thread normally like any BP If you want)
I also considered a knife/shears sheath, but didn’t try
So I just snug the hose in and “latch” it behind the weight pocket itself

If might be possible to thread through the webbing when you uninstall the pockets — I haven’t tried anyway as I moved on to dive sidemount

Assuming you do not need to share air during a single-file exit, a 5 ft long hose works very well without the need for an anchor at the hip.

The Hydros D-rings are pretty small, you might consider swapping them for something easier to clip.

So there’s no way to make the Apeks long hose retainer work on it? Thank you for responding. How did you latch it behind the weight pocket? Did it ever flow up on you?

Without cutting the stitches nope, it was the Apeks one I tried as well

I used a bungee loop tied around the webbing to act as a catch
Didn’t work perfectly but worked

That was 2.5 years ago, since I haven’t gotten the hydros out of storage (in a whole other country) and only dove in sidemount
