There is a device you can put inside your housing to detect leaks or too much moisture here is the link to the site
http://www.marinecamera.com/leek_h20detector.html
I have one and it REALLY works its not a gimick. there only 20 bucks.
it is a led light that flashes when too much moisture is present or water. At least you might be able to make a dash for the surface if it starts to flash and save your camera.

by the time the detector goes off it's probably too late. The nauticam vacuum system is a more expensive but way better location

The Nauticam vacuum system is terrific. Seeing the little green light is incredibly comforting.
The various water-based leak detectors remind me of the oil light on the dash of my car; what it really means is "too late!"

For those of us with Olympus housings that is not really an option. I had a very slow leak in my PT-EP03 and the leak detector went off. It was very early in the dive and I got to the surface without any damage to my camera. The inside of the housing was damp not flooded. I suspect it saved my camera and lens.

I was aware of that but I have been not gotten a response to two emails asking about this housing. I am sure I will hear from him well before my next dive trip.

Hi Smoore
I only just saw this thread.
I received two enquiries regarding a Leak Detector for a PT-EP13 from an S Moore in Canada.
I replied the same day to both enquiries and then tried replying from my gmail account also. I think you may have a problem with emails going to junk/spam, as we haven't experienced this problem with anyone else?
If have just sent you a Scubaboard private message and re-copied the information I sent you by email.
Basically I have not had my hands on a PT-EP13 housing, with so many new models of housings coming on the market every month. I sometimes rely on customers to send a couple of photos so I can make Leak Detector's to suit the models that I haven't seen.
This is what I had requested in the two replies.
