I am new to diving (just been certified). I am a photography buff on vacation so I figure I won't be any different underwater.

I have a nikon coolpix 5600 and saw that there is camera housing for this for about 153.00.

I have also seen camera's like the Sealife Reef Master for $300.00 (which would also give me a smaller camera to have).

Teh Sealife DC600 that was mentioned on another post is $500.

I am curious for those that have used the camera's that need housing or those that don't need housing is there really a big difference. Would you pick to have one without housing.

Has anyone used the Sealife Reef Master SL320?

Trying to see what is the difference between all of these. I haven't seen them in person yet, but wanted to get some feedback first.

Do these "sea" cameras have options that make the pictures better than going to best buy getting a camera that I like and getting a housing....

Thanks for any feedback!!

go with a camera and housing combo. i am just not a fan of the quality of the sealife cameras, WHEN you compare them to all of the options and settings a housed camera can give you.

disclaimer: notice i said when compared to. i am not saying the sealide cameras arent good quality.......well.......yeah, ill stick with that!

thanks Justin..that is what I did....LOVED your website.
