I need a bacckpack to hold my G11 with a Fix Alum Housing and a single Sea and Sea Strobe.

I am out of town rigfht now and would like to buy one of these online, but pictures do little to show how this setup might actually fit.

Does anyone have a suggestion for what kind or model of backpack would work well to hold this while traveling?

Thanx!

I use a Lowe Pro Vertex 100 for my G11/Z240 + ULCA. It's expensive but I like it a lot.

You don't say how much of a setup you have. Usually the camera is small compared to strobe and tray. Anyway, look at the Lowepro Mini Trekker and Micro Trekker, depending on size of your setup. One problem I have is with salt water depositing salt in the zipper, so rinse carefully after use.

Looks nice but I use a very thin ripstop nylon bag and use polartec cloth pouches for my gear in an effort to keep the bulk down. Overseas airlines will sometimes weigh carry-on bags. The soft cooler bag is great for my local dives too. I carry my dive computer, mask, shave kit and a few spare clothes as well. I have an s90, FIX, G11, z240 and a couple of macro Inon lenses. Don't forget room for cell phone, batteries and multiple chargers.

I got an REI back pack (Flash Pack 30 - also got a 18 for toting gear to the dive boat). I'll and odered the polartech pouches in various sizes from Aerostich (a motorcycle gear supply and manufacturer in Duluth Minnesota) the pouches have a nice synch cord - heck you could probably make them yourself. I stow my ULC arm and tray in the check on with a polartech sleave cut off an old jacket. You do have to be carefull - not the best cushioning but not bulky.
