Hello from the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. My wife and I are planning a 30th Wedding Anniversay trip to the Great Barrier Reef. So far, we are focused on Mike Ball and the Spirit of Freedom. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Scubaboard :)

Do you and your wife dive our local waters?

When I was young I used to dive Monterey, Point Lobos, Halfmoon Bay and did some free diving at Sweetwater Cove. Once I dove in Cozumel, however, I gave up cold water diving!

My wife and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary with a 7 day trip on SOF. We had a wonderful time. Diving was great and the boat was everything we could have wanted. I haven't gone on Mike Ball but I hear it is great too. If you have any specific questions about SOF drop me a PM and I'd be happy to share my thoughts. I also have lots of pictures from around the boat and the different cabins if you want to see what the options are and the standard brochure "perfect" pictures aren't showing you what you want.
