I have done quite a few miles of the Colorado River North of Blythe California and the answer is NO! I have also done many of the lakes and canals in Southern Cal and not much there as well! Tahoe is another story, watch for the Lady of the Lake! ;):11:

Is there anything interesting to see?

I have done two dives in Lake Castaic. There were small fish and plants. Unless that is an area of special interest to you there is more to see in the ocean. Still variety is nice. If you do the lake dives remember that they will generally be altitude dives and you have to plan accordingly.

Just to see if theres any cool things to see I dont know about. I found a few sunken towns, bridges, trains in some of the lakes and rivers in no.cal.

Hey Papa Bear -

I'm gonna be stuck in Blythe for work for a while with a friend who is an instructor and we were thinking about getting me certified for DM while there. Can you recommend a dive spot near Blythe that is shore accessible and would suffice for training? Any recommended dive shop nearby for tanks and fills? THANKS!
