If you are taking a liveaboard you can add the course to your trip if you arrange in advance. I did AOW on a Mike Ball trip; they list the add-on price of the course as A$215. They also list the Nitrox course as costing A$325.
Beyond that, you might give a holler to Dive Cairns as they are a helpful broker for multiple dive operators. They can tell you more about the options of taking courses in Cairns.

I did AOW onthe TAKA in November for A$185 if memory serves. I did not have to preregister or arrange it in adavnce; just decided to do it while on the liveaboard and it was great.

Alot of the companies do the Advance course, it just comes down to what boat you want to do it with.

On the Pro-Dive the AOW was 100 Ausi dollars more. So a 2 night 3 day trip was $680.00.
So the AOW was about $67.00 US included the book also.
