Does anybody know of any liveaboards that offer dive volunteer opportunities other than Mike Ball? We were all set to go for a couple weeks with Mike Ball but just found out that the only time we can go is when their boat is out of the water for repairs. I'm sure there are lots of dive ops out there... I'm a DM and my boyfriend is a MSDT so volunteering as dive deck helpers/guides or even some domestic duties would be awesome. Thanks for any suggestions!

Taka had one spot for a volunteer when I went last week. It was actually vacant until 1 hour before the boat left, a Swedish guy named Jonas showed up at the shop, asked, and was told he had 60 minutes :-)

I think it is usually a bit harder, with a bit of a waiting list. Didn't seem like he had too much work to do, and he was able to come on 8 of the 10 dives I think.

Yeah, apparently Taka has one spot every trip. They joke that the volunteer gets all the scut work the crew doesn't want (about what I would expect.) The gal who was the volunteer on our trip seemed to spend a lot of time in the galley.
