Are there stores that sell Wild Turkey & Crown Royal. I'm sure it may be a little higher than the states but it cuts back on the weight if I can buy a small bottle or 2 after we get there.

There's tons of places in town to buy liquor....and it's not expensive! We always pick up a bottle or two to bring home (never too much drinking while we are there with all the diving...bad combo....although we tend to make up for it on the last day!). Way better prices than the United States. Do a little price comparisons while walking down the strip. Hope this helps.

If you're flying to Mexico, you can buy it REALLY CHEAP in a Duty Free shop in your airport. They usually sell both of those.

Just remember that when you come back to the US, you can't have any opened bottles, and it's 2 Litres (of liquor) per person limit.

I found the best prices and the largest selection at that big liquor store that is on Avenida 30 a block or two north of the Pemex (gasoline) station.

Also, state law at your point of entry supercedes federal law if it is more restrictive on alcohol. Texas law says one liter per person.

I'm not sure about the brands, but when we were down there, it seemed that the Chedraui had a pretty good liquor collection and decent prices.

That line from McClintock keeps going through my brain...

"Big party, but no whiskey...we go home now"
