So my youngest is taking her OW dives this week. I purchased a couple AL50s in anticipation of this day. Hydro'd and ready to go. I'm curious though, as to the buoyancy characteristics of the 50. Will she require more weight as a result? Any and all comments are welcome.

My 10YO completed his junior OW last weekend. The 50’s were perfect for him. He needed no weight in swim trunks / rash guard and pretty neutral at safety stop.

I, too, acquired two of these little tanks a few years back in anticipation of this.

These little tanks are wonderful. They seem negatively buoyant, and so we needed less weight during OW, and are nice and compact. Glad the hydro facility in a nearby town offers VE testing in addition to hydro testing. We'll get a couple years out of these

Really depends on what other equipment she wears also. Will need to do a weight check in the water. If you don't know how to do that let us know.

Haha, thanks. We're good to go. I was just curious if anyone had first hand experience with these tanks.
We've had them in the lake a few times now and they are in fact a few pounds negative.
