What thickness bungee should be used for the inflator hose loop? How big should the loop be?

TIA

I use 3/16 and I make the loop as big as it has to be and maybe just a tad more. Big enough for the hose and enough slack that I can get the inflator valve through it.

Kinda late to the game, but I use 1/8". I tie an overhand knot, holding both ends of the bungee, and glue the end with neoprene cement.
After it's secured between the keeper and webbing it's about as wide as the inflator's widest part, a tad more maybe.

The 1/8" allows me to dump air at the beginning of my dive from the inflator w/o having to unloop it. I find 3/16" to be a bit too stiff for my liking.
