guys i have two bungee cord placements in my hid, one is in the left side of the goodman handle and the other is at the upper part of the lightcord just before the ss bolt. i noticed that this should have been placed on the actual handle(silver ss bolt) instead of the actual cord. should i cut of the bungee and place on the ss bolt to relieve tension on the cord? thanks

I would leave it where it is then change it when it wears out

Placing the bungie on the gland nut

Pro: more secure no slipping down the cord

Con: If you tie it loose it'ss do just that and slip down the cord

Bungie on the cord

Pro: Easier to secure

Con: may slip down a little when wet but should be easy to slip back up

Here's some discussion on it from the 5thD-X forums http://forum.5thd-x.com/viewtopic.php?t=1066

If you look at the 5thD-X education page they have it on the nut...

too late i cut the bungee already:) the other salvos ive seen were placed on the gland nut. i felt a bit wary with the placement on the card, was worried that it could damage the cord in the long run.

I zip-tie or use cave-line to tie the bungee loop on the nut to avoid the slipping problems ben has noted.

However, I think the official policy from GUE on light attachements has changed to using teo fixed (small) single enders (or a single-ender and double-ender) if that makes any difference -- I still use two loops for now.

I am noticing that the bungee loop on the goodman handle is wearing thin due to rubbing though.
