I've been searching for reviews on Bunaken Oasis Dive resort near Manado but haven't been able to find any in the community forum - i thought this was odd since just about any other dive resorts in Manado turns up in my searches (e.g. Siladen)....

Has anyone recently stayed at Bunaken or have friends who have, and can kindly share their experience ?

Thanks in advance !

I have not stayed there.

We were in another resort diving Bunaken last September and the walls were beautiful, you'll love them. Once you get down, that is. There was more trash in the water in Bunaken than in any other area in Indo I have been to (about 5). Sometimes I looked back down before the backroll, and I thought ewwww...

We stayed at Bunaken Cha Cha which we loved. In October there was some rubbish in the water, but because of the resorts location it escapes the worst. The rooms , food , guiding and wonderful hosting by the owners were all absolutely awesome.

Apologies for the late reply, as I've just joined the forum. There're fairly detailed reviews on TripAdvisor, but the resort's only been open since September 2016, so has yet to build up a lot of traffic. Hope this helps

While I am not familiar with this particular resort, we dived a year ago with Siladen, and the diving in this area is fantastic, with plenty of wide shallow reef on top of the walls, to keep any non diving snorkel fans quite happy.
