:11: Doh, the wife and I are scheduled to fly to Grand Cayman on the morning of Saturday the 11th. The NOAA website shows Ivan probably arriving very close at exactly the same time. Has anyone else ever had anything similar to this happen? It's going to be an interesting couple of days watching this bad boy! How bad's the visibility going to be affected?

Ohh, man, that suxx. I've never dived there, but I have had to call dives because of conditions that I didn't like.

The bad thing is, that since "it might get OK for diving tomorrow" can never be ruled out, it's not even an excuse for hitting the bar ;(

Well, there's the silver lining to the local amudhole (they call it a quarry, but I think that's only bragging): it is even diveable in the worst of hurricanes.....

We were in Cayman for hurricane Mitch. He canceled the diving but the hurricane parties were a blast. And the rain was impressive!
