Bull Sharks near Puerto Morelos? Or only PDC?

We're going to be staying at Excellence Riviera Cancun with some friends that love the Excellence brand and won't defect (clearly, they do not dive... but I digress...)

We're doing a couple days of cenote diving, but though we'd try to see some bull sharks while we're on the mainland. Should we be trying to book with an op based in Puerto Morelos since it's so much closer than Playa del Carmen? Is there a great dive shop in Puerto Morelos?

We have spent a lot of weeks diving in Puerto Morelos over the last 16 years and have never seen a bull shark. I hardly know where to send you for a great dive shop there. We dove for years with Wetset but they sold and after one outing with the new owners we won't be back. If you find one there that is great please tell us.

Erik Rosenstein, the owner of Beyond Diving in Playa has a friend who runs a great operation in Cancun. I can't remember the name but if you contact Erik, the e-mail is on his website...Scuba dive in Playa del Carmen, Cenotes and Cozumel with Beyond Diving, I am sure he will hook you up.

The bull shark dives are mainly done in Playa. Usually start in November - Feb or until the fishermen get involved..... try Playa Scuba, they do a great bull shark dive.
