We live in Portland Oregon and want to do some warm water diving over spring break. As we're new to teh sport, and are busy blowing vast wads of cash on gear, we also need to keep the budget down.

We have dived with Vista Sea Sport in Buena Vista, East Cape BCS and cannot speak highly enough about them. However, the airfare from PDX to CaboSan Lucas seems a bit steep at $500.00 plus.

Any suggestions?

Alaska Airlines, United and America West have $288 RT. Travelocity.com is a good place to look for good fares.

Thanks Rich. Let's pray for airfare wars!

looking for air fare deals to any seaside vacation venue in Mexico, or anywhere in the greater Gulf of Mexico, greater Caribbean, Florida or Bahamas, for that matter.

In any event, I believe that Alaska Air has some low fares until Jan 9 with travel completed by Apr 4, such as r/ts to MX including LA, Phoenix or San Diego to Los Cabos $145, Seattle to Puerto Vallarta $288 & SF to Manzanillo $228. Frontier Airlines has some deals to Cancun & Mazatlan for left coast with purchase thru Jan 10 and some travel as late as Jun 30.

But again, spring break is likely to be blacked out or restricted. Best if you're somewhat flexible on dates.

Best of luck.
