Big John Scuba is also a good cheap homestyle lodge on Mabul. Uncle Chang is also very good.
I would stay away from Scuba Junkie b/c they have gotten a myriad of mixed reviews. Seaventures is a decent place, although you WILL be in the middle of the ocean away from the island....if you are an island person...don't stay there. You can always request to dive the house reef there since there is great muck diving there.
