Instead of Lembeh/Raja Ampat you could consider Lembeh/Halmahera Sea. Weda Resort is situated at the East coast of Halmahera. Actually the same sea as Raja Ampat.

Experience “World’s Best Critter Diving” and the “Incredible Reefs of the Heart of the Coral Triangle” in one trip. Stay at our two very comfortable and affordable eco resorts: Divers Lodge Lembeh and Weda Reef and Rainforest Resort.

Divers Lodge Lembeh opened in 2002, when not many people knew about Lembeh Strait yet, and Weda Reef & Rainforest Resort opened in 2011.
Rob, the owner of Divers Lodge Lembeh and Weda Resort, was the pioneer who explored the diving around Halmahera since 1989.

Example of a possible PACKAGE: 11 NIGHTS, 24 DIVES, please mail for any other length of stay and preferred dive-package at these two resorts.

Did you do any diving? If so where is the best place? Thanks.
Oh yes , did four days off Padang Bai and on previous visits we have stayed in Tulamben. We have also stayed on Lembongan , which has excellent diving, but this can be reached quickly from Padang Bai.

We lived in Bali for 9 months and can't wait to go back. We lived in Ubud and mostly relaxed by he rice fields when we weren't diving. It was a GREAT place to come back to after a dive trip.

Diving in Bali is surprisingly good, but not as good as Raja Ampat! I like to go to Amed or Padang Bai for a week to dive the wreck and other places before going on a big, expensive trip. It's nice to get your gear completely squared away and your muscle memory back in order before spedning those Big Bucks on every dive in RA!

I did not dive in Bali - I plan to go back to dive the Nusas, Gilis, USAT Liberty, and Ahmed one day. We went to dive Komodo National Park at the time so we flew from Bali to Labuan Bajo for a liveaboard but we spent time in Bali before and after the LOB.

I'm trying to work out a Lembeh trip for November & would like to have a dive buddy! Are you a photographer?
