I just don't log dives
I am headed to Bonaire this weekend (my first time) and will be at Buddy Dive.

Can someone tell me if they have wifi access in the apartments, and what extra fee may be required to use it.

Thanks!

They charge about $40 a week and it works around most of the property when it works, including room 402. There are multiple wifi boxes and sometimes one goes out. I ended up going up to the office to access it for a few days once. Most of Buddy's staff are clueless about wifi problems...

I was just there and it is $40 for the week. They told me that you could pick it up best around the bar/pool area. Our room (502) was very close to the bar and I had no problem picking it up in my room all week.

You can always go talk with Michael at Chat 'n Browse right by Buddy's. He can hook you up with wifi that you can pick up anywhere, and he's often cheaper and always more reliable than I've ever found Telbo to be. ;)

In October it was very sketchy, even in the common areas. In our room the signal was near zero, near the pool and the dive shop still weak and in the breakfast area speeds like 10kb/s. Worked ok because it kept me from downloading work, but not exactly impressive by modern wifi standards.

I just need enough signal to be able taunt my friends back at home with daily Bonaire weather reports and a few photos from my diving each day. :D

It's a small thing ... but it gives me a lot of pleasure!!
