We're looking to decide what to do next year and (temporarily) are trying to decide between a week in Bonaire (probably BuddyDive) or a week sailing the Bahamas on the Juliet. Prices will be roughly the same when we consider airfare, food, etc. We'd be traveling in October, with up to 10 days available, but more like a week/8 days ideal....

I've read great reviews on the Juliet, spoken with past travels, etc. and have yet to hear anything bad about the trip. Of course, the same can be said about the diving/experience in Bonaire- and yes, we are looking for diving, diving, and more diving while on this vacation...

Anyone care to weigh in... or have a different idea? We'd like to keep it under $4000 for the whole deal, airfare, etc. etc. Obviously the lower the better, but thats the cap. We were also thinking about Belize, Costa Rica.....my head hurts thinking about all the choices :(

In October I would chose Buddy Dive - due to Hurricanes - not because one is better than the other.

It's not a good/bad decision it's a good vrs good decision.

I wouldn't hesitate to do the Juliet again. Great crew, wonderful diving, decent and plentiful food and beverages. In our week we got in 4 dives a day, every day but the last when we headed back to Miami. But we are trying Bonaire next (Golden Reef). I'd say flip a coin. You can't go wrong.

If you decide on the Juliet, I'd recommend trip interruption/cancellation insurance.

You might check with John at the Juliet to see if there are spots available in October. I am booked the first week of October with our group and we have the second week in October also. We do still have spots available for the first week but they go quickly after the first of the year. October is a fantastic time to go. Just purchase trip insurance for the hurricane worry and that takes care of the funds if the trips are cancelled because of weather. PM me if you want more info on the first or second week of October. When we reserved those weeks last year, he said he was pretty well booked through 2007. We do four dives a day and the itenary depends on what the group wants to dive. The trip would run somewhere around $1550 plus your airfare. I think that's what the cost will run because John is showing an $1100 per week increase for the boat rental. Tips roughly 15%.

Don, thanks- It would be a trip with you guys- I've already talked to SaraLynn... just have to decide quickly what we want to do...

Oh that's right, she told me about ya'll...I didn't see you were from Pheonix...We gonna have a blast. I could spend a whole day at Bull Run.
