A friend had the latch break on his WP-DC28 (case for the canon G10)

I think the Canon cases for G-9-10-11-12 have the same latches . . . does anyone have a case they are not using?

Hoping to find something he can part out . . . .

Last year I bought a replacement latch (buckle) and 'O' rings from Canon. I don't have a link, but you can try:

"Genuine Canon replacement service parts, including inkjet printer print heads are available to purchase by calling the Canon Parts Order Desk at (866) 481-2569. Please note that for both product safety and optimal product operation most service parts should be installed only by a Canon authorized service provider."

I love ya, man!!! Thanks!!! :hugs:

You're welcome. :beerchug:

Been there done that.

After installing the new latch ALWAYS close the housing with hand pressure then close the latch. Using the latch at the point the O ring seats puts too much pressure on the latch.

if you pay shipping, i will send a case for free. The Case was stirred up when hurricane sandy got to it. Found case full of mud and do not trust the buttons anymore.
