I have moved the Brockville mishap thread over to my private review area so I can clean it up to bring it into compliance with the TOS for the accident forum. When I'm done I'll move it back, but it will take a while.
So be patient.

Why??
Why can people not be able to say how they see it to a point. The points that I made where not against anybody or rude or not even off topic. They are however needed points because no matter how many times you shut people down it's going to happen. It's a good way to express yourself. To say you can only say facts,no opinions,no speculation and so on I think for this type of a thread you would have no response. Other then people saying how sorry they are. It's human nature to speculate and try and figure out what happened. Look at the one thread about the Ontario dive shops you all allowed that because it was MODS making the comments. Where in this thread did anybody go past the TOS rules.
I see censorship is alive and well. I take it somebody hit the panic button ?

Thank you for all your efforts Rick. I read some of the later posts that you sent via word, and I must say that some of the stuff that was said was awfull and some was simply wrong (reguarding the medical aspects of embolism, convulsions etc.). Let's be clear about one thing: being unconscious underwater CAN close your airway (loss of muscular tone causing mechanical obstruction), which can lead to an embolism (I'm not saying that this is what happened, simply stating a fact). Furthermore, anything that reduces blood flow to the brain or creates an "unbalanced" medium in and around the brain (ie. toxins, hypoxia, temperature etc), can cause seizures. This is not fiction...it is fact!

Thanks again Rick, for cleaning up our mess. These problems with OFWF are really getting old!

I must again respond your wrong. Because this is too me. If the throat closes because of some other reason thats one thing but that has yet to happen. YOu cannot have an embolism while passed out we are taught that as a CD diver. Plain and simple. Now lets look at all the other statments that could also come from a tight neck seal. Sorry but it is true if you pass out and your thraot is not blocked you can not have an embolism. What credentials do you have ? I did not make it up it is the way it is.

Hang on guys...
I'm gonna close this thread now.
I suggest you take your passed out/blocked airway discussion over to the medical forum (I'll even start the thread ) so the docs can weigh in. We may all learn something!
